Production details[]
- Shooting dates: from March 22, 1984 to March 29, 1984
- Filming Locations: Warner Hollywood studios; Ventura Farms (Thousand Oaks).
Cut material[]
- Deleted scenes: Adam comes back from Las Vegas; Adam talk with Sammy Jo in the solarium.
- Trimmed scene: Fallon asks the name of Dominique to the receptionist.
- Scrapped idea : According the story outline, Dominique who was not supposed to make her first appearance in this episode. Most of her scenes (asking questions about Alexis to Fallon, meeting Alexis at her penthouse) were actually the scenes of new-comer Amanda and her step-brother Ian. However, it was implied in the ouline that it may be a false Amanda that was coming to Denver as she and Ian did not have Amanda's birth certificate (Ian payed a firm in order to locate it soon). What is more, she and her so-called step-brother got some flirtatious body language that may indicate that were actually lovers and not step-sister and step-brother. The next episode confirmed that she is indeed Alexis's daughter (and Blake's daughter too !) These plans were changed shortly before the script was written. Dominique was obviously a last-minute addition and her debut in the show postponed Amanda's arrival.
Quotes[]
- Tracy Kendall: [to Alexis] If you want something from him, why don't *YOU* sleep with him? I hear that's one of your specialties.
- Dominique Devereaux: It's burned.
Alexis Carrington Colby: Is it?
Dominique Devereaux: This champagne was obviously frozen in the bottle at some point.
Alexis Carrington Colby: If the champagne is too burned for your taste, don't drink it. The caviar, I trust, is not burned.
Dominique Devereaux: I really wouldn't know. This is Osetrova, and I prefer Petrossian Beluga.
